An urgent message to all our patients at King Ritson Dental:
During this difficult and unprecedented time, we must take actions that are in the best interest of everyone. At King Ritson Dental Clinic, the health and safety of our patients and our team is paramount and we are, therefore, adhering to the following measures and guidelines set out by The Royal College of Dental Surgeons Of Ontario (RCDSO) in response to the COVID–19 pandemic.
The RCDSO strongly recommends that all non-essential and elective dental services should be suspended immediately. Emergency treatment should continue.
We would also like to clarify that in dentistry, a “true emergency situation” includes oral-facial trauma, significant infection and prolonged bleeding or pain which cannot be managed by over-the-counter medications. We ask that everyone follow this guideline and only contact the office if they have a true emergency. For the next 2 weeks, our clinic will be operational in an emergency capacity only, with limited staff to address these situations.
In case you do have a true dental emergency, we will see you, provided that you do not have any COVID-19 symptoms and have not travelled outside of Canada in the past two weeks. Upon arrival at our clinic, we will take your temperature to confirm that you do not have a fever. If you do need to book an emergency appointment you MUST CALL the office as part of our screening process. We will be working on an “on call” basis and our phone lines will only be accessible from 9am-5pm, from Monday to Friday, until further notice.
Our only hope of successfully combating this viral epidemic is if we all work together and take every necessary precaution.
